I  am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience of working in a variety of therapeutic settings within the NHS.  I am also a Couple Psychotherapist having trained for four years with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Clinic and have been seeing couples in my private practice for several years. I have worked with adults, in community teams, specialist therapies service, a therapeutic community and a psychotherapy department. I have also worked for the Social Services in a family centre, with children and families. I have been involved in developing and leading services within these settings. I have extensive experience in supervisory roles for teams, groups and individuals as well as providing supervision and training in a university with Doctoral Psychology trainees.

Following my professional qualification, I have continually developed my skills and experience by undertaking  further courses and training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, group analysis, couples psychotherapy, psychosexual couple work, parent-infant work and supervision. I have  specialisations in a number of therapeutic models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, mentalisation based therapy (MBT), eye movement, desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

My special interests include couple work, relationship difficulties, personality disorder, trauma, loss, depression, postnatal depression and anxiety.
